Marquees for the London to Brighton Cycle ride

News Jun 22, 2015 By David Coleman

It’s been a busy year for Seaholme Marquees; we’ve been involved in many community events including Brighton Fringe, the HCVS Run and now the famous London to Brighton Cycle ride.

Celebrating it’s 40th year, the 54 mile bike ride – from Clapham Common to Madeira Drive – happened last weekend on Sunday 21st June, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

We’re proud to have provided marquee hire for this fantastic event at both the starting point and the finish line, and several refreshment tents along the cycle route including Ditchling Beacon and Hove Lawns.

At Clapham Common, Seaholme provided marquee hire plus the tables and chairs for all activities at the site – the VIP Marquee of 6m x 12m, and four further marquees for cyclist registration, merchandise, press and the crew canteen.

In Brighton, we erected two impressively long marquees of 24 metres and 36 metres alongside the finish line on Madeira Drive, which were held down with Ton weights and guy ropes, as well as two smaller marquees with tables, chairs and fridges.

We’d like to congratulate all who took part in the challenging cycle ride and look forward to cheering you on again at next year’s finish line!
